Parents serving or having served in the Armed Forces, April is the month of the military child. In recognition of this, during the morning announcements, the staff at Graham Park Middle School would like to recognize these students by reading a tribute from their parents who are serving or have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Please provide a written tribute to email@example.com any time during the month of April. Additionally, a photo of the student and parent may be provided to be displayed in a prominent location in the school. We would like to keep this as a surprise to your student; therefore, please direct any questions to Mrs. Terry at 703-221-2118 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Quantico EFMP has partnered with Special Olympics to host a fun track and field type event. This Olympic event has several non-competitive track and field activities that are designed to accommodate persons with special needs. Each athlete will have a buddy to assist him/her as they participate in each activity. No prior experience or physicals needed - and it is FREE! Open to EFMP families from all services! Each athlete will receive a t-shirt, a medal, and a record card of their accomplishments. View the flyer here or or register here.
For 8th Graders Only
The 8th grade team is planning some exciting end-of-year activities including a semi-formal dance, a trip to Dave and Buster's, and a farewell ceremony. We want all of our 8th graders to be a part of it! To make sure you or your child can fully participate, please make sure they have returned this signed document to your homeroom teacher.
Middle School vs. High School Grading Scales
Parents, Guardians, & Students: PWCS uses a much easier grading scale for sixth and seventh graders. In 8th grade, we use the tougher, numeric, high school grading scale, which often results in lower grades/report-card shock. 6th & 7th graders are encouraged to use this GRADE CONVERSION TOOL (Click Here) to enter their assignment grades from Parent Portal to see what their grades would be if they were in 8th grade. It's important to maintain good work habits to be ready for 8th grade and beyond...
Boxtops for Education and Labels for Education
Did you know there is a difference between Box tops and labels for education? It's true: they are completely separate BUT we collect both of them. Box tops go on the collection sheets and the labels for education go to Mrs. Ballam in the library. Thanks for helping our school by bringing both of these in!
Wanted: Your old musical instruments!
Unload those old band and orchestra instruments gathering dust in your attic and know that you've helped the students of Graham Park! Instruments do not have to be in top playing condition and will receive a tax write-off for the donation. Please contact Ms. Fessner (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Ms. Martino (email@example.com) for more information.
